Welcome to Sekondly, where we believe that second-hand items deserve a second life. Our founder’s personal experience growing up in Kenya inspired her to create an online marketplace where buyers and sellers can safely and profitably trade second-hand items.
As a child, our founder’s mother would wake up at 5am to select the best pieces of clothing from bales of second-hand clothes. Despite their limited financial means, her mother managed to dress her children in unique and stylish clothing that always received compliments from others. These pieces were so well-maintained that they were able to be passed on to other children, extending their life cycle and value.
Mission
Our mission at Sekondly is to extend the life cycle of second-hand items as part of the circular economy. By reselling, repurposing, and recycling second-hand items, we are reducing waste and promoting sustainability.
